As the TDP and congress have stepped their campaign in the six assembly segments in the Telangana area where by polls are to be held on March 18, analysts talks of tough fight in at least three constituencies in the region.
While the analysts say TRS candidates are at an advantageous position in Adilabad and Kamareddy constituencies, Nagam Janardhan Reddy who filed nomination as independent candidate is bound to romp home in Nagar Kurnool. TRS has announced its support to Nagam there.
However, the going would not be that much easy for the TRS candidates in three other constituencies, Kollapur, Station Ghanapur and Mahaboobnagar where TDP and Congress are giving tough fight to the main protagonists of Telangana. In Mahaboobnagar, BJP is also in the by poll fray.
In Kollapur, TRS candidate Jupally Krishna Rao is pitted against the Congress candidate Vishnu Vardhan Reddy and TDP candidate Jagadeswar Rao who have really become a threat to his victory.
Reports said BJP is getting support from a segment of the district JAC leading to the division of votes between BJP and TRS giving an edge to the Congress party in Mahaboobnagar. (J)
