There seems to be no end to the follies list of the CPI state Secretary K Narayana. His unthought-of remarks against the women celebrities seemed to have taken a toll on his personality in the recent times. They say `speech is silver when silence is golden,’ but this gentleman has defied the basic etiquette in commenting, the ladies of high profile.
Once bitten, twice shy, but our leaders never seem to learn from their previous mistakes. It may be well remembered, The CPI Leader had some time back commented on the incarcerated IAS officer Sri Lakshmi, who is right now in the Chenchaguda Prison in the Mining case. The CPI leader is quoted as comparing her beautiful looks in contrast to her graft nature. This had raised a furor among the IAS officers. Eventually the leader had to mend his statement and express regrets for misinterpretation.
As history repeats, the gentleman repeated the same folly with the Minister Geeta Reddy, he said that she knew only to beautify herself and knew nothing about the problems faced by the labor. This was in connection to the Minister participating in a protest organized by the industrialists against the inadequate power supply. As usual this statement also created an ill repute to the Leader, who eventually withdrew his remarks and regretted for the same. This incident only shows the aging nature of the leader. Age must bring wisdom and not arrogance, felt political critics. (With inputs from internet: AarKay)
