This Sankranthi will witness the clash of the biggest titans of Telugu cinema. The films of Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna never headed for a clash over the recent years. Their upcoming movies Waltair Veerayya and Veerasimha Reddy are now heading for release during Sankranthi season and both of them will release in a gap of a day. The distributors and exhibitors are not much bothered about the clash as it is a holiday season and the theatres can be accomodated. Waltair Veerayya and Veerasimha Reddy are carrying good expectations and are mass entertainers. Both these films are made on huge budgets and are produced by top production house Mythri Movie Makers.
Waltair Veerayya is a mass entertainer directed by Bobby Kolli. The film is set in the backdrop of Vizag and Ravi Teja will be playing the role of Chiranjeevi's brother as a cop. Shruti Haasan and Catherine are the heroines. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music and the film is expected to release on January 12th, 2023. Veerasimha Reddy too is a mass entertainer directed by Gopichand Malineni and the film is in the last leg of shoot. Shruti Haasan is the heroine in this mass entertainer too and Balakrishna plays a dual role. Thaman scores the music and background score for Veerasimha Reddy. The film is expected to release on January 13th, 2023.
