Tollywood sensation Vijay Deverakonda has been working hard for the past three years on his project Liger. The ongoing coronavirus pandemic delayed the film and Puri Jagannadh is the director. Liger released in a record number of screens across the Telugu states and the film managed to get a decent release in other South Indian languages. The Hindi version of Liger will release through the midnight paid premieres across the country. The film received a mixed response and the word of mouth is extremely disappointing. Netizens and movie lovers are trolling the film's director Puri Jagannadh for his poor work.
Though Vijay Deverakonda is appreciated for his hard work, he is targeted for his poor script selection. Liger is expected to end up as one more failure in the career of Vijay Deverakonda. The actor sounded overconfident on the film and he said that the film would make more than Rs 200 crores. Liger is a sports drama and Vijay Deverakonda played the role of a MMA player. Ananya Pandey is the heroine and Ramya Krishna, Mike Tyson will be seen in other important roles. Puri Connects and Dharma Productions are the producers. Liger is made on a budget of Rs 75 crores.
