Koratala Siva delivered his biggest dud with Acharya. He could not utilize two top stars Megastar Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan. The film is badly rejected by the audience from all the corners. Koratala Siva even handled the finances and the complete business. He took a hold of the complete business and paid the remunerations for Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan. The film's interests also heaped up and with the film ending up as the biggest flop, the distributors quickly approached Koratala Siva to refund the losses. He agreed to compensate the losses and the process is on.

Koratala Siva closed the satellite deal with Gemini TV for a price of Rs 15 crores. The TV channel bought the film for such a huge price because of the stars Chiranjeevi and Charan. With the films performing poorly at the box-office and with negative reviews on Amazon Prime, Gemini TV decided to back out from the satellite deal. The other option is that they are ready to pick up the satellite rights for Rs 7.5 crores instead of Rs 15 crores. This came as a new shock for Koratala Siva and he is currently puzzled. Niranjan Reddy produced Acharya but he has no profit or loss in the film.
