Super talented director Priyadarshan has been working on a massive periodic drama which is a multi-starrer and will be shot in all the Indian languages. The movie will start rolling from July and will feature Mohanlal, Nagarjuna, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles. The film has been titled Marakkar –The Lion of the Arabian Sea and is based on the story of Mohammed Ali aka Kunjali Marakkar IV. The film will be shot in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam languages.
Made on a huge budget, Marakkar is set in the backdrop of 16th century and is called as the most expensive film among Priyadarshan's films. The movie will be shot on water with vintage war ships. Marakkar will feature several top British actors essaying Portuguese characters in the film. Marakkar will be co-produced by Mohanlal and will release during the first half of 2019.
