Talented actress Anushka who has shot huge fame with women centric films in her career is back with Rudramadevi. The movie has been directed by Gunasekhar and Anushka will reprise in the role of Rani Rudramadevi in the movie. Rana Daggubati, Catherine and Nithya Menon will be seen in other important roles. Allu Arjun will surprise in a guest role as Gona Gannareddy in the movie. The shoot of the film has been wrapped up long back but the movie release has been delayed several times due to the delay in the post production formalities.

Gunasekhar is working for perfection and sources say that he is not happy with the graphic work of the movie. He is taking his time to get the perfect output before the movie hits the screens. The makers have initially planned to release the movie on September 4th however the news is that the movie will hit the screens on September 17th all over. Ilayaraja composed the music for the movie and Rudramadevi marks the first stereoscopic 3D film in the history of Indian cinema. Gunasekhar produced Rudramadevi on Guna Team Works banner.
