In the world of Gen Z jargon, we often hear various relationship terms like position, benching, breadcrumbs, and cuffs. One of the most discussed terms is status. It is a non-binding and undefined relationship between two people. Two people are physically and emotionally connected, but do not characterize their status as a relationship. This arrangement allows for casual interactions but does not provide the depth or stability of a committed relationship. In this case, the situation may become more uncertain due to the lack of trust between the two people. Agreements like this can become tiring after a while as one party may want more from the relationship. If you find yourself in such a situation and it is affecting your mental health, we have listed some simple ways to get out of a toxic situation.

Distance yourself emotionally: Be aware that this is a situational relationship and not a committed relationship. Therefore, creating and maintaining boundaries is crucial to overcoming your emotional well-being. Nothing is more important than your mental health. If your situation is causing you pain and suffering, it's time to reconsider whether you want to stay in it. Limit time together to calls and text messages. Do something more productive.

Talk to a friend: If things aren't going well with your partner and you want to move on, talk to a close friend. They may not have all the solutions, but they will definitely support you during this time. It can also distract you from your problems.

Limitations of Social Media: In today's world, some people follow their partner on Instagram or Facebook to find out where they are. If you really want to get out of this situation, don't follow this person on social media or keep checking on them.

Work on yourself: Breaking up with a person or relationship can be the most critical moment when people tend to overthink. When you are sure of your decision, try not to think about the past. Set goals, work towards them and stay focused. And don't just limit yourself to memories.

Accept: The most important thing to move is acceptance. You need to accept that you are no longer together and focus on your own life and ambitions. Believe that what happened was for the best and move on.

Stick to your decision. Returning to your spouse may not be the wisest move. In this case, it is best to maintain a respectful and sincere relationship and set boundaries. It's okay to stay friends and trust each other.
