He says that Google is controlling 90 percent of the online search and 95 percent of mobile phones. Amid the allegations, the share of Alphabet fell by 5 percent on Monday, this might also be because of the recession fear In the market. Mehta stated that alone in 2021, Google paid $26.3 billion to make sure that the search engine has Google as the default search engine, to maintain dominance in the markets, which is a clear indication to maintain the monopoly in the market. In the last few years, the federal antitrust regulators also sued the Meta platform, Amazon.com, and Apple claiming that they are dominating the market and maintaining a monopoly. Even these cases were begun at the time of the Trump administration. Senator Amy Klobuchar, a Democrat stated that it is a win for the American people, that is we can still believe that in our country antitrust enforcement is still alive. Whatever may be the allegation, the petitioners are fighting only for the monopoly market that is being maintained in search engines.
