Last month, Samsung unveiled its latest Android 15-based operating system called One UI 7. According to a recent proposal, the update will be available in beta later this month. A tipster suggests that the One UI 7 update may include a new option for users to manually disable thermal throttling. This feature is built into the operating system to prevent damage to your smartphone's internal components and extend their lifespan. A post on As the name suggests speculates that users will be able to manually control thermal throttling, a smartphone safety feature that automatically slows down the processor and other internal components to prevent damage from excessive heating.

Future One UI 7 features could allow users to bypass these protections, increasing the potential risk to the smartphone's internal components, while an increase in frames per second (fps) of gaming performance is also possible due to improved performance and reduced lag. Notably, a similar feature was discovered in early versions of One UI 6 that required access to the Samsung Device Health Manager service via a third-party app. However, it was reportedly removed in later versions of the operating system. Samsung has not announced a roadmap for the release of One UI 7. However, the South Korean tech company has confirmed that the beta version of its latest operating system will be available to all users and not just registered developers. Once the rollout begins, users will be notified via the Samsung Members app. According to Samsung, the One UI 7 update based on Android 15 has three main goals: targeted simplicity, distinctive impact and emotional connection. The operating system should be designed to understand the user's intentions and minimize complexity. It retains some of the signature design elements of Samsung's Android skins that Galaxy users have known for years.
