Eclipse in 2020, 3 Out of 6 to be Visible from India

Dr Rajendraprakash Gupt, Superintendent of Ujjain-based Jiwaji Observatory has said that 2020 would see six eclipses. Out of the six, four will be lunar and the remaining two will be solar.

It is said that only three are expected to be visible from India.

Gupt has added saying that the celestial events in this year will start with a penumbral lunar eclipse during the night of January 10- 11 which will be visible partially in India.

The start of the eclipse is from 10.36pm on Friday night and will continue till 2:44am on Saturday.

The eclipse that can be seen from India are penumbral lunar eclipse and annular solar eclipse.

Gupt says that penumbral lunar eclipse that can be visible through India will be occurring during the night of June 5 and 6.

The penumbral lunar eclipse will also be taking place on July 5 and November 30 and both of them will not be visible from India.

An annular solar eclipse that will be visible from India will be occurring on June 21. the eclipse will also be taking place on December 14 which will not be visible from India as it will occur during night in the country.
