Soon after unveiling Project Lightning few days ago, Twitter has announced second new feature that will allow users to discover and purchase items within the service.
According to the Verge, the new ‘product pages’ will organise related tweets about products and brands. With this the social networking site joins the group of e-commerce.
The new page will let people see other’s tweet about the product, prices and sometimes, a buy button.
The company also plans to add some collections, a way for brands and celebrities to boost the products and recommend them to followers. Demi, Lovato and Nike are some of the 41 partners that have curated collections for the service so far.
With an attempt to make Twitter as a shopping destination, the company has launched the new pages and is hopeful of its success.
Collection and product pages have started to roll out on web, iOS and Android. Twitter says it will be experimenting more of commerce in the coming months.
