Apple iPhone users can now enjoy the WahtsApp voice-calling feature, which has been already rolled-out for android users. According to the Apple itunes store, WhatsApp’s 2.12.1 version brings voice-calling to the app.
The itunes store description reads, “Call your friends and family using WhatsApp for free, even if they’re in another country. WhatsApp calls use your phone’s Internet connection rather than your cellular plan’s voice minutes. Data charges may apply. Note: WhatsApp Calling is rolling out slowly over the next several weeks.”
And WhatsApp is now finally making use of iOS 8’s Extensions, where you can share a photo, video, links to WhatsApp from the Camera, Photos app in iOS directly.
WhatsApp has 800 million active users, whereas the number of registered users will be bigger. WhatsApp has gained nearly 100 million in last 3 months. WhatsApp rival app WeChat, which is most popular in China has 500 million monthly active users as of March 2015.
