Techno Pop 9 5G was launched in India on Tuesday. The Transition-owned company's new budget smartphone comes with a 48-megapixel rear camera and NFC support. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and is currently available for pre-order and will go on sale at the beginning of October, the company said. This phone is the successor to Techno Pop 8 which was launched in the country earlier this year. Tecno Pop 9 5G is priced in India at Rs 9,499 for the 4GB + 64GB storage variant, while the 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 9999. The phone is currently up for pre-order on Amazon and will go on sale from October 7. The customer's device can be reserved for the amount of the token. According to the e-commerce site, the amount will be refunded to your Amazon Pay balance at the time of purchase. The Tecno Pop 9 5G is available in three color variants – Aurora Cloud, Azure Sky and Midnight Shadow and the phone comes with two free phone skins. The dual SIM (Nano+Nano) Tecno Pop 9 5G has an unspecified LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC is powered by 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.

In terms of optics, the Tecno Pop 9 5G packs a 48MP Sony IMX582 rear camera with LED flash. It has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone has two speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The Tecno Pop 9 5G has a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W wired charging. The phone has an infrared (IR) emitter and is IP54 rated for dust and splash resistance. It is said to be the first 5G phone in this segment to come with NFC support. The phone measures 165 x 77 x 8 mm and weighs 189 grams.
