Apple plans to launch new products in 2024, the iPhone 16 series is just one of them. According to recent reports, the tech giant will launch a new version of the Mac Mini with the M4 chip, focusing on the power of artificial intelligence. In a report for Bloomberg, Mark Garman confirmed that the next desktop computer will be the smallest and feature the first major design change since 2010. The report also revealed that the new device will be significantly more compact than its predecessor. The size is comparable to the Apple TV player. On the other hand, the diameter of the Apple TV box is about 3.7 inches. In addition to the initial listing, Garmin said this is the first time Apple is using the same generation of chips for all Macs. The M4 chipset is expected to support artificial intelligence features that will be released in October this year. With the M4 chipset, Apple placed emphasis on making the device more compact. However, Garmin admitted that while the next computer will be the smallest, it will be larger than the current version, which is 1.4 inches.

The Mac Mini will have an aluminum chassis. The report claims that the new Mac mini is essentially an iPad Pro in a small box. This approach takes advantage of the low power requirements of the company's internal silicon. The existing Mac Mini costs $599, but even though the new version is cheaper to build, it remains to be seen whether Apple will lower the price for customers or maintain its current pricing structure. Apple has a number of new Mac releases planned over the next few months, starting with the updated Mac mini. The iMac and M4-powered MacBook Pro will follow later this year, the MacBook Air in the spring, and an updated Mac in mid-2025 as part of the company's continuous hardware refresh cycle. In India, Apple doesn't prioritize affordability, but it will be interesting to see if the company does the same with the Apple Mac Mini. This release will likely coincide with the release of what are probably the most anticipated iPhone 16 and iOS 18 series. Additionally, MacBook Air M3 was recently launched in India. The price of this laptop is Rs 114900.
