The Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has announced the launching of Soft Gold variant of Company’s flagship smartphone OnePlus 5. The phone has been capped for ₹32,999 and will be available for sale from August 9 midnight on OnePlus India store, Amazon India as well as offline in various OnePlus stores. However, such stores are very limited in India.

According to the company, the Soft Gold varian is a limited edition phone and will not be available in large quantities. The phone will be sold only in 64GB variant. Along with this, the company is also launching the 128GB variant in Rose Gold variant along with Slate Grey on the same day.

Both Soft and Rose Gold are same with their siblings Midnight Black and Slate Grey, which was launched in India in June in terms of features. Apart from colors nothing has changed.

Although it was one of the much awaited phones of 2017, large number of technology experts found it bad and not as per the expectation. The phone was widely criticized for its design which looks similar to Apple’s iPhones.
