Paris Olympics: Badminton player Lakshya Sen lost against Viktor Axelsen and failed to secure a podium finish. He has two sets straight loss against the Denmark Player and will play with Zil Jia Lee for the Bronze Medal position. The Men's Bronze Medal Match is scheduled for 6 PM today.

Coming To Hockey:

The Indian Hockey team defeated Great Britain and entered into the Semifinals at the Paris Olympics 2024. The Indian team played with one man less because of the red card of Amit Rohidas for a stick on Great Britain player Wiliam Calnan’s face. Immediately after the card India took the dominance and got the lead of 1-0. Later GB also scored 1 goal by equaling India, 1-1. Indian captain Harmanpreet Singh got the penalty corner, secured the win, and made India enter the Semifinals.

Goalkeeper PR Sreejesh is the star player of the match. He saved multiple goals.

India, hockey team is showing stupendous performance in the Paris Olympics. They won against Australia in the quarterfinals to reach the semis, which was after 52 years. India defeated Australia in the 1972 Munich Olympics. However, Kookaburras were showing poor performance and barely managed to win their first two matches. After their loss to the Netherlands in the quarterfinals, the Australian team has walked out from the Olympics.

Coming to suspend Amit Rohindas: He is likely to face a one-match ban and will join the team for the Semifinals. Anyway, there will be a call again today after reviewing the incident. If he fails to come back to the team, India will continue with a 15-player squad, but not with 16.

In Boxing, Lovlina Borgohain, fight comes to an end with a medal after losing against Li Qian in a tough match.

Shooting :

Anat Jeet Singh Naruka and Maheshwari Chauhan will prepare for the Skeet Mixed Team Qualification at 12:30 PM.

Table Tennis :

Indian Women’s event round 16 at 1:30 PM.

Athletics:

Kiran Pahal will feature in Women’s 400m Round 1 at 3:25 PM.

Avinash SAbble will feature in Men’s 3000m steeplechase at 10:34 PM.

Sailing:

Vishnu Saravanan will participate in Men’s Dinghy Sailing Race 9 and Race 10 at 3:35 PM.

Nethra Kumanan will participate in Women’s Dinghy Sailing Race 9 and Race 10 at 6:10 PM.

In Sailing, the lower your points are the higher you are placed. Nethra is placed in 25th and Vishnu did better with 7th and 24th in 2 races, by moving to 18th. This race is just for the namesake and India is not going to win any medals here.
