In a shocking move, Indian star player Virat Kohli stepped down as the test captain for Team India. He penned an emotional note which moved the nation and his fans are shattered with his move. There are a lot of speculations and discussions about the move and the reports say that Rohit Sharma may replace Virat Kohli as the new captain for Team India. Virat Kohli earlier announced that he would leave T20 captaincy after the T20 World Cup to focus on his batting. BCCI replaced Rohit Sharma as the ODI captain too which left Virat Kohli in deep shock. Rohit Sharma is named as the Deputy of Virat Kohli after Ajinkjya Rahane's poor batting performance.
Now the reports say that Rohit Sharma will be named as the captain for Team India in tests too. Rohit Sharma suffered a hamstring injury and is out of the test series with South Africa. KL Rahul has been working as the new vice-captain for the team. The announcement about Rohit Sharma as the Indian captain is expected soon and KL Rahul will continue as the vice-captain for Team India. Rohit Sharma will take over the charge from the next series of Team India with Sri Lanka and this also happens to be the 100th test match of Virat Kohli. To manage the workload because of a lot of cricket ahead, BCCI is keen to rest several crucial players in the upcoming months as there are two World Cups approaching soon.
