India won against Bangladesh in a nail biting ICC World T20 cup 2016 match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Banguluru.Thus, the chances of India to progress in the tournament are kept alive.
While chasing India’s score of 146 for seven, Bangladesh required 11 runs from the last over of the match with four wickets remaining. After conceding a single to Mahmadulla, Hardik Pandya suffered two fours, hit by Mushfiqur Rahim. Then, two runs were taken off three balls. Rahim and Mahmudullah perished to wild hoicks. Nervous Mustafizur Rahman fell, as Dhoni knocked down the stumps in the last ball. Bangladesh finished with 145 for nine.
It was indeed a perfect Holi gift by team India for fans. With one more game left, India has four points and are standing in the second position in the table.
Big B and Dhoni’s anger on Indian commentators
After India’s thrilling one-run victory over Bangladesh, Amitabh Bachchan tweeted that, “T 2184 -Now that I can breathe free .. WELL PLAYED INDIA !! Winning from 2 runs and 3 balls and then a hat trick on the last is incredible !”
He later added that, “T 2184 - With all due respects, it would be really worthy of an Indian commentator to speak more about our players than others all the time.”
Harsha Bhogle had tweeted saying, “I said it on air and I'll say it again. This is the best group of players I have seen from Bangladesh.”
Interestingly, even Dhoni who usually stays away from the controversial matters retweeted Amitabh saying, “Nothing to add.”
