Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s wedding was solemnized with his childhood friend and classmate Sakshi Singh Rawat on Sunday night at a simple ceremony at the picturesque Vishranti Resorts, a farmhouse 40 km from Dehra Dun.

The cricket captain’s marriage took place one day after the two were engaged to each other at Ranchi. Only a select few people were present during the small time wedding ceremony and they included cricketers Suresh Raina, Ashish Nehra, R.P. Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Praveen Kumar, Piyush Chawla, Bollywood star John Abraham and filmmaker Farah Khan.

Nearly 60 relatives from the two families of both the bride and the groom were also present during the marriage. The ceremony was an entirely private affair, with the media kept out of bounds.  ( Submitted on 05-07-2010)
