Last weekend, audience were spoiled for choice as three biggies across genres lured them to the theaters. However, the big surprise was much audience thronged the theaters to watch the smooth patted Matt Damon and Jodie Foster in the dystopian thriller ‘Elysium’ that ruled the box-office this week. The film amassed $30.5 million, while Aniston-starrer 'We’re the Millers' came close second with $26.6 million, just ahead of Disney’s 'Planes' at $22.5 million, as per the studio estimates.
“Elysium,” is directed by Neill Blomkamp of “District 9” fame. Sony is already eying an enormous return on its $115 million investment.
