The hyper-ambitious singer Madonna can never possibly stop re-inventing herself. Her latest undertaking is a movie venture.
Apparently, the musical legend has obtained the rights to Andrew Sean Greer's latest novel, “The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells”.
Confirming the news, Greer said that he received a phone call from Madonna last week. He said that she "read the book and loved it so much she called me up personally to talk about it ... She totally got it. There were a couple other people interested and they sort of all made a deal together, and she's optioned the rights to it. We'll see what happens. But it's fun because it was Madonna."
Although whether Madonna plans to direct or produce the movie is yet to be known.
Her initial directorial ventures proved to be major debacles, commercially and critically.
Hopefully, things might change for the ever-aspiring Madonna with “The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells” that might actually work out to be a major breakthrough for the “Material Girl”.
