Former Olympian and legendary "flying sikh" Milkha Singh hasn't been to any movies for last 53 years. But interestingly the first movie that he is going to watch after this long hibernation ( if at all we can call it so) will be a movie that is based on his own life. The movie Bhaag Milkha Bhaag that Chronicles the life and achievements of the flying Sikh will indeed be an especial experience for the real life protagonist himself.
"He (Singh) is very excited about watching the film when it releases this July. He wants to catch it with his family and close friends. Although his wife, son and daughter are movie buffs, Singh has been the complete opposite all his life. In over five decades, he hasn't watched a film even on television," a family member explained.
When contacted to know his response regarding the movie and his interest in movies as a whole, the living legend said, “ I loved watching films from Raj Kapoor's days. In fact, some of my best memories of films come from that era. I would love to see Bhaag Milkha Bhaag on the big screen in the theatre."
The movie is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, featuring Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor as lead actors. It will hit the theaters on 12th July.
