Interestingly, filmmaker Jay Prakash is keen to sign Manisha Koirala for Market 2 after she returns from New York, where she is undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer.

According to Jay Prakash, Manisha is his lucky charm and she was in his film Market and he had discussed the script of Market 2 with her. In fact, she liked the script and once she is back after her treatment, he will again narrate the script to her.

Fact-fully, Market, released in 2003, was about a woman sold to a brothel by her husband.

A tough time...

Moreover, Koirala, 42, was operated upon in December last year in a hospital in New York where she is now undergoing chemotherapy sessions. 

As a matter of fact, her manager Subroto Ghosh says she may return in July.

Prakash continued saying that Manisha is recovering well and he is in touch with her manager. He think she should be back in three to four months and he share a very good rapport with her. He have worked with her in Market and Chaahat - Ek Nasha and can't see Market 2 without her.

To conclude, Koirala, who has also worked in critically acclaimed films such as Dil Se, 1942: A Love Story and Lajja, made her Bollywood debut with Saudagar in 1991. She was last seen in Ram Gopal Varma's Bhoot Returns.

We hope for her fast recovery and a great comeback in film!
