Avoid using tight hair ties instead use smooth ones that are cloth-made to avoid hair damage. Also, avoid using heat on your hair to stop hair damage. In case you have to use iron/curl, straighteners, do not forget to use a hair protectant. Loosely braid your hair to avoid a frizzy mess during bed time.

It is important to oil scalp as and when possible and use a gentle shampoo to get rid of the oil. But do not over do it. Applying more oil will only result in applying more shampoo leading to more loss of natural oil. Use water at room temperature to wash your hair. Avoid hot water.

Brushing your hair regularly helps in spreading natural oils in hair. It definitely increases luster in your hair. Of course, do not over do this.
