Vijay is all set to test his luck with Sarkar after a thunderous hit like Mersal. AR Murugadoss is the director and Keerthy Suresh essayed the heroine's role in this action thriller. The film has been announced for November 6th release and soon controversy floated about plagiarism issue. A writer named Varun Rajendran filed a petition with the Madras High Court stating that Sarkar has been inspired from his script Sengol which is registered with SWAN in 2007.
AR Murugadoss along with the producers decided to settl the issue outside the court. The makers agreed to give the story credits for Varun Rajendran along with paying a remuneration of Rs 30 lakhs. All the necessary documents have been prepared and both the parties signed the deal after which the case has been closed in Madras High Court. The film will now hit the screens on November 6th as scheduled in Telugu and Tamil languages. Sun Pictures produced Sarkar.
