Akilesh has been handed over the baton, and now it makes history as how he ensures development in Uttar Pradesh. The Samajwadi party in a high level meeting of the elected members on Saturday in Lucknow has declared the young Akilesh Yadav as the new CM of the state and Mulayam shall be dealing with party affairs with the general elections scheduled in 2014.
It is now evident that the crusader who made a turnaround for the party’s popular Electorate, Akhilesh Yadav (38) is sure to carry the mantle. Mulayam Singh is now confidently planning to hand over the reins of the Chief Ministership to his son.
Akilesh shall be the youngest CM of India’s most populated state. He will be the 33rd CM, on March 12 while taking the Oath. Not only at the electorate, has Akilesh surpassed Mayawati, but also has surpassed her records. Mayawati sworn-in, when she was 39 years old, way back in 1995.
The historical win in Uttar Pradesh may sound the warning bells in the Congress. But the bare truth for a political critic is that the dissent in Aam Adhmi is growing.
Sources reveal that on Friday, there was an internal meeting in this regard. Mulayam Singh is to have made the suggestion to name Akilesh as the CM. but the former CM had made the announcement very diplomatically, to sense the reaction of the elected members of the party.
Meanwhile Akilesh is looking as usual quite enthusiastic and many young elected representatives have voiced their support for the young leader. There is a hustle of activity inside the Party office. But no firm information is revealed as yet. The information shall be conveyed during the course of the day, as there is an official meeting of elected members scheduled for the day.
Situation was no better in the Samajwadi Party, on Friday the party witnessed some turbulent motion at the party office.
Mulayam Singh the political wizard diplomatically handled two of the party’s strongmen deftly. His younger brother Shiv Pal Yadav was assured the most lucrative of portfolios in the new cabinet. The second strong man was his confidante Azam Khan, who was promised the prestigious slot of assembly speaker.
Both of them were silenced by the former CM, with the irresistible offers. The game plan is ready and it is all set for his son to step on to the throne. But one most predominant thing that all of us agree that Akilesh is worth the power. The man who with just positive promises and no negative blaming spun this victory shawl, is sure to give good governance.
