Bureaucrats are always at the taking end once there seems to change in the guard at the state. This is not a new phenomena and very much virulent in the nations, since ever.
In a yet another case of bureaucrats at the taking end, some seniors in the Uttar Pradesh are in a hectic schedule planning their future course of action. As the exit polls state a hung assembly bureaucrats are the most in a panicky situation. Unknown future leads them to more pandemonium. Most of them as per reports would like to move to the center or on a long leave to wait for what awaits them in the future government’s hands. Most prominent seem to have already applied for central deputation, as soon as the elections were announced. All those requests will now take shape with the electoral fate to be announced in a day.
Among top names believed to be making their way back into the state at important positions are 1980-batch IAS officer Jai Shankar Mishra, currently serving as chief executive officer of Khadi and Village Industries Commission. Regarded as a confidant of SP Supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, Misra is also the father of SP candidate Abhishek Mishra, a former IIM professor and first-time contestant from Lucknow North constituency. With the change in guard most in the good books of the future government can expect a bright future. While those not in the reckoning might get into worse situations and to save their face would like to move on. (With inputs from internet: AarKay)
