The Atlanta, city in Georgia recently graded one of the 50 foodie capitals of the world in United Kingdom-based flight delay compensation company Bott and Co's new analysis on the world's most diverse food scenes.
The analysts use Google Maps restaurant data on cities with a population over 1 million to ascertain which metros served the most national cuisines, such as Chinese, Italian and more. The ranking as well listed the each cuisine's top-rated restaurant in the city.
New York earned the top honors among all the cities in the world with a whopping 94 national cuisines served around town, followed closely by London (89) and Toronto (73).
With overall 44 national cuisines, Atlanta ranked 29th.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's 2018 Spring Dining Guide further explores Atlanta‘s global mashup movement, from inexpensive street tacos exploding in Korean, Hawaiian or Middle Eastern flavors to Italian and Mexican twists to Southern staples, such as collard greens and ricotta fritters.
