Crybaby Sreesanth has experienced the true meaning of 'what goes around, comes around.' After his involvement in the IPL spot fixing scandal, the cricketer has earned the wrath of BCCI with a life ban.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also banned Amit Singh and Ankeet Chavan for 5 years. On Friday, the BCCI read out the fate of Sreesanth's career and slapped him with a ban for life, effectively nipping his game at the roots.
Based on the report of Anti-Corruption Unit chief Ravi Sawani, the BCCI's disciplinary committee arrived at their fateful decisions. In the report, the accused cricketers were guilty of the IPL spot fixing scandal that shook the sporting community.
When the scandal broke out, the Rajasthan Royals team was humiliated beyond words. The accused players, including Sreesanth, were promptly removed from the team and their contracts terminated. The franchise owners, Shilpa Shetty and husband Raj Kundra were also hounded for answers, but were finally let off.
Just before the announcement, Sreesanth commented that it is his life long dream to play for India and that the disciplinary committee were very co-operative. His hopes materialized to nothing in the end, as he cannot play cricket again for India during his lifetime.
