A19-year-old boy from Texas, who was booked under felony charges of making terrorist threats on Facebook, have been freed on bail.

Justin Carter was let out on bail after an anonymous donor sent a $500,000 bond.

Apparently, the teenager had posted a Facebook update last Februray, during a video game match,  stating "shoot up a kindergarten."

Talking about the Facebook comment that landed Carter behind the bars for five months, he said, “I just think it got taken out of context, and it's been blown out of proportion.”

Carter's case has not only received pandemic media attention, but has also unnerved free-speech activists.

His Facebook update came at a time after December's mass shootings at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut increased authorities concern over these kind of shootouts.

In February, Carter and his friend were embroiled in a debate on Facebook with someone else over the online video game "League of Legends," his father, Jack Carter told the press.

According to the court documents, Justin updated the following comment: "I'm f***ed in the head alright. I think I'ma (sic) shoot up a kindergarten and watch the blood of the innocent rain down and eat the beating heart of one of them." The update was concluded with a “LOL.”

The teen had to stay in jail for five months since Jack Carter and his wife, Jennifer, didn't have enough money for their son's bail. The family's attorney, Don Flanary, revelaed that  Justin Carter  was abused behind bars, and his parents were gravely concerned about his safety.
