Monsters University which happens to be filmic work that prefigures a later work to Pixar's 2001 hit Monsters, Inc known to have immersed Brad Pitt zombie flick World War Z at the same time took the top spot at the United States (US) box office which was showcased by provisional figures on Sunday. The animated movie that expresses how monster buddies Mike along with Sulley became friends as well as enlarged their scaring skills took in US$82 million  in comparison to just US$66 million for the apocalyptic blockbuster during their opening weekend.

On the other hand Superman reboot Man Of Steel dropped to third while bringing in US$41 million subsequent to opening in the top slot previous weekend accompanying earnings of US$116.6-million.
