Ingredients required for Aloo mutter recipe
Oil: 2 tbsp
cumin seeds (jeera): 1 tsp
finely chopped onions: 1/2 cup
finely chopped garlic (lehsun): 1 tbsp
finely chopped ginger (adrak): 1 tsp
finely chopped tomatoes: 1/2 cup
finely chopped green chillies: 1 1/4 tsp
turmeric powder (haldi): 1/2 tsp
tomato puree: 1/4 cup
chilli powder: 1 1/2 tsp
coriander-cumin seeds (dhania-jeera) powder: 1 1/2 tsp
garam masala: 1 tsp
peeled and chopped potatoes: 1 1/2 cups
green peas: 1 cup
salt
How to make Aloo mutter recipe?
• Take a pressure cooker, pour and heat oil, add cumin seeds, add onions, ginger, garlic, green chillies, and sauté. All this time maintain medium flame. Saute till onions turn translucent.
• Now add tomatoes and tomato puree, chilli powder, garam masala and coriander- cumin seeds powder. Saute for 2 minutes on a medium flame.
• Add green peas, potatoes, ¾ cup of hot water and salt.
• Mix well. Closed the pressure cooker, Leave for 2 whistles on medium flame. Then reduce the flame and wait for a whistle. Turn off the flame.
• Leave the cooker until steam escapes.
• Remove the lid then and garnish with coriander
