Mango Mutton is the famous recipe in Andhra and Telangana. The delicious spicy dish with the combination of mutton, mango with yogurt gives a yummy flavor to non-veg lovers. Enjoy the dish with seasonal and pride fruit of India.
Ingredients:
Raw mangoes - 1/2( peeled and chopped)
Boneless Mutton - 500 gms
Amchur Powder - 1 tsp
Yogurt(curd) - 3/4
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Onions - 1/2( chopped)
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Green chilly - 4 (chopped)
Red chilly powder - 2 tbsp
Curry leaves - 8 to 10
Coriander powder -1tsp
Salt - To taste
Oil- 4 to 5 spoons
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
Procedure:
1. Wash mutton with water for 2-3 times.
2. Marinate the mutton pieces with yogurt, Amchur powder, Red chilly powder and with turmeric.
3. Keep aside the mixture for one hour or place it in the Refrigerator.
4. Take a pan, place on stove on low flame and pour the oil and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, cinnamon.
5. Once the mixture is crackled, add onions, green chilly to it and wait until the onions turn in to gold color.
6. Now add the marinated mutton pieces along with ginger garlic paste, with mango pieces, salt and cook with high flame by stirring constantly.
7. For half minute stir and cook, now add two cups of water and allow it to boil on simmer flame for half an hour.
8. Now see if mutton pieces became tender.
9. Finally add coriander powder to the dish, and serve hot with roti’s.
