Karan Johar has confirmed that Adar Poonawalla, the CEO of Serum Institute of India, will acquire half of Dharma Productions. It was known that Dharma Productions was seeking an investor, and several names were associated with the deal, including Sa Re Ga Ma India. However, Karan has now confirmed that Adar has decided to acquire a 50% stake in Dharma Productions. Adar will be investing Rs 1000 crore into Dharma Productions and Dharmatic Entertainment. Adar is making this investment in his personal capacity through Serene Productions. Karan Johar will retain the remaining 50% ownership and will continue as the creative leader of the company, taking on the role of Executive Chairman.
