Story
Judwaa 2 is the story of twin brothers Raja and Prema (Varun Dhawan) who get separated during their childhood days. While Raja grows up in Mumbai in the masses, Prem turns a music student in London who stays with his father (Sachin Khedekar). An unexpected incident shifts Raja to London and things change completely thereafter. Raja meets Prem and the duo falls in love with their partners Alishka (Jacqueline Fernandez) and Samaara (Taapsee Pannu) respectively. What happens when the brothers meet frames the total story. Analysis
Judwaa 2 has been promising and entertaining right from the first frame. Varun Dhawan carried the entire film on his shoulders and he is a treat to watch. He excelled completely in the comic scenes and Judwaa 2 is his best film till date. Though the plot has been completely predictable, it is the entertainment, action and the songs which leave the audience entertaining. The first half of Judwaa 2 has been decent and lives up the expectations.
The second half of Judwaa 2 too stands decent because of the entertainment levels. All the characters have been recreated from the original and not much homework has been done. The makers have been completely focused on the entertainment and the glamour. The songs have been shot well and they come at the right time in the film. The climax has been quite appealing and on the whole the second half too is a passable ride completely.
Performance
Varun Dhawan tops the show with his flawless performance. Varun Dhawan carried the entire film on his shoulders and he is a treat to watch. He excelled completely in the comic scenes and Judwaa 2 is his best film till date. Jacqueline Fernandez is a treat to watch and she competed with Taapsee Pannu in her style. The duo kept the audience engaging with their glamorous acts throughout. All the other actors delivered out their best for the movie.
The story of Judwaa 2 is pretty old and it has been inspired from the prequel. The screenplay and dialogues make a massive difference. The music and the songs elevate the film well. The cinematography is an asset for the film and the grand production values make the film look stupendous. David Dhawan has been completely successful in entertaining the audience and keeping them engaged throughout the film.
Final Word
Judwaa 2 packs a punch with entertainment alone and Varun Dhawan along with his team takes the film to the next level. A decent one time watch.
