Analysis

Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive Movie Review

Tere Bin Laden was a hilarious treat for the viewers. From the story, to the concept to the performances, everything was loved by the audiences. But Tere Bin Laden 2 does not really reach the expectations. The movie tends to get repetitive at times and Ali Zafar’s cameo sequences are absolutely uncalled-for. They do not add any weight to the film. The scenes with Osama and Obama are too many and inspite of being funny they lose substance.

Performance

Manish Paul’s comic timing is pretty much visible in his anchoring as well, and the actor was a perfect fit of this character. The talented actor plays a bumbling director and there is in no way we can ignore his expertise in even bringing humor out of a serious situation. Manish portrays the character with charm and is utterly confident in its skin. Sikander Kher plays a CIA agent and looks extremely promising. He has acted brilliantly. The second half totally belongs to him. Pradhuman Singh, who plays the fake Osama is a treat to watch just like the last time. All the actors showcase great energy.

The story of the movie has nothing new to reveal much. Tere Bin Laden 2 is funny but only in parts. The writing of the film is sure fresh and new but the director has not really focused much on rising above what the first part delivered. The dialogues are however humorous, especially the ones given to Manish Paul. The music album is fine and fits well into the plot. The cinematography is good and so is the editing.

Final Word

Tere Bin Laden Dead or Alive is a movie that is a letdown and is not better than the prequel. The entertainment levels at parts have been decent.
