Aamir Khan celebrated the news of birth of Rani Mukerji and Yash Raj Film’s boss Adithya Chopra’s Daughter Adira, on the sets of Dangal, reported DNA. A spokesperson revealed that “Aamir was thrilled on learning about Adira. He immediately got into celebration mode and also treated the crew with sweets,” quoted DNA.

Rani got married to filmmaker Aditya in January 2014. The couple had their first daughter on 9 December 2015. Almost immediately, Bollywood celebrities like Parineeti Chopra, Rishi Kapoor, Karan Johar and Ayushmann Khurrana tweeted congratulations to the couple.

In a statement released by Yash Raj Films, Rani said, "I would like to thank all my well-wishers and fans. Today life has given us God's greatest gift with Adira. We thank fans our friends for their unconditional support and blessings. With joy we begin this new chapter in our lives."

Rani and Aamir first featured together on the silver screen in Ghulam, which came out in 1998. Both acted together in films like Mann, Mangal Pandey: The Rising and Talaash. Meanwhile, Aamir will be seen as a wrestler in Dangal. He is currently shooting for Dangal in Pune. The film is scheduled to hit screens on Christmas next year.
