Dia Mirza missed her chance to vote in the Maharashtra assembly elections held on Wednesday. The pretty actress is getting married to her long time beau Sahil Sangha later this week in Delhi.

The former beauty queen says she would not have skipped voting if it had not been her D-Day.

Dia's Twitter post read: "For the first time, will be missing out on my opportunity to #vote in Mumbai... If not for my wedding I'd never miss out on this."

Several Bollywood celebrities posted their inked selfies after casting their vote on the social networking platform.

The Miss Asia-Pacific International 2000 starred in Hindi films like "Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein" and "Parineeta".

Dia Mirza, who is known for her philanthropic efforts in environmental and social issues, is also a film producer. Her fiancee Sahil Sangha is a filmmaker, who recently co-produced the film "Bobby Jasoos" with Dia. The couple jointly own the banner Born Free Entertainment.
