Former beauty queen Dia Mirza married her longtime beau Sahil Sangha in Gurgaon recently. The couple tied the knot in an Arya Samaj wedding. And during the wedding, as the mantras were chanted, the couple did something that would have been frowned upon in any conservative marriage.

The priest presiding over the wedding said, "Hum kaamna karte hai ki aap jaldi ek putra ki mata bane" (I pray you that you may soon be blessed with a son). At this Dia and Sahil interrupted him saying they want a 'putri' (daughter), and not a 'putra' (son). The lovebirds thus made their family plans clear to all present.

Reports also suggest that Dia and Sahil will not be going on a honeymoon soon.

Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha had been dating for some years now. The couple had postponed their wedding twice earlier. Finally on October 18 , Dia and Sahil exchanged their wedding vows at a farmhouse in Chhattarpur, near Delhi.

The newly wedded couple had recently co-produced the film "Bobby Jasoos".
