Albert Einstein, the great scientist who introduced the world’s most famous equation E = mc2, is one of the best science gems we've ever had.

Born on March 14, 1879, at his family's home in Ulm, Germany also shares his birthday with Pi Day. Albert Einstein became a household name in no time.

The famous theoretical physicist wrote his first scientific paper when he was only a teenager. The most influential physicist of the 20th century, Einstein's groundbreaking theory of relativity changed the way science functioned.

In 1921, he earned the Nobel Prize in physics and became the godfather of physics. However, in the era that dominates the youth with things such as memes, even Einstein isn't spared either.

Einstein may have passed away in the spring of 1955, but his legacy lives on forever.

Einstein died on April 18, 1955, in New Jersey, the United States. In his lifespan, he published more than 300 scientific papers which included over 150 non-scientific works. It is his intellectual achievements and originality that made the word 'Einstein' synonymous with 'genius'.
