India Will Suffer Heavy Losses If It Attacks Pak, Khawaja Muhammad Says

Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has warned India that India will suffer "heavy losses" that would be remembered for decades, if it tries to attack or impose war on their community.

During his visit to Kundunpur village, which is located along the international border in Sialkot, Asif said that, "Pakistan's armed forces will defend every inch of their motherland at every cost."

"If India tries to impose war on Pakistan, heavy losses will be inflicted on India which it will remember for decades," the Defence Minister said.

According to a report from state-run Radio Pakistan, Asif said that Indian forces’ cowardly acts have strengthened the nation’s determination to defend their motherland.

Commenting on tensions along the border and LoC after the NSA-level talks were called off by Pakistan, "India's real face is exposed as it is supporting terrorism in Pakistan and creating tension on borders through unprovoked firing along the working boundary and line of control," the minister said.

Pakistan called off the NSA-level talks scheduled for August 23 on India making clear about its un-acceptance of discussions on Kashmir and a meeting with separatists.

It was alleged by Asif that by creating tension across the borders, India is diverting attention from its "internal failures". He also claimed that they have a proof of India’s interference in Pak and would be submitted in September at the UN General Assembly meeting and in October to the US leadership by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
