According to the military, the leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, has been killed in a strike on Beirut. A source close to Hezbollah confirmed that communication with the 64-year-old Nasrallah was lost on Friday night. The Israeli military announced that Nasrallah is dead, and they targeted numerous Hezbollah sites in eastern and southern Lebanon following intense rocket attacks by the group into northern Israel. Israeli airstrikes hit Hezbollah strongholds in southern Beirut, destroying several residential buildings. The Israeli Defense Forces stated that Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world, and this is not the end of their actions. The message is clear: anyone who threatens Israeli citizens will be reached.

The 64-year-old leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, was accused of being responsible for numerous terrorist attacks targeting Israeli civilians and soldiers over the course of his 32-year tenure. Nasrallah's daughter was reported to have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on Hezbollah strongholds in southern Beirut, although this has not been confirmed by Hezbollah or Lebanese media. The Israeli strikes also resulted in the deaths of other Hezbollah members, including a commander of the group's southern front. In response, air raid sirens were heard across northern Israel, and two surface-to-surface missiles were fired from Lebanon, with one being intercepted. Lebanon's health ministry ordered the evacuation of hospitals in Beirut's southern suburbs, anticipating further escalation of the conflict.

The Israeli military strikes on Lebanon have resulted in the deaths of over 700 individuals and the displacement of approximately 118,000 people. In response, hospitals not directly affected by the conflict have been encouraged to refrain from admitting patients without urgent medical needs, in order to free up space for those being evacuated from the affected regions.
