For the first time, in the last 6 months COVID death count has touched 20 in India. At least one death was recorded in 14 states and the cases climbed to 11,109 on Wednesday from 10,167 before the day. Last 24 hours cases in the country has a slight decline and registered 10,753 new infections. It was on October 15th last year India registered 20 COVID deaths. In the last 24 hours, 2.21 lakh covid tests were conducted in the country.
While 89 deaths were logged in March and April alone has reported 153 deaths for COVID. A Doctor from Delhi Lok Nayak Hospital said people are having mild symptoms and recovering fully within a week. The recovery rate is 98.70% and the fatality rate stands at 1.19% as per the health ministry. The doctor also said that patients with pre-existing illnesses are facing problems like low oxygen saturation and breathlessness is rare.
