An explosion caused in a dairy farm in Texas in the USA on Monday has killed 18000 cows. This was a real tragedy that took place. According to reports this number is three times more than the cattle slaughter happening across the United States every day. The remaining cows were rescued and transported to another facility.
As per the county’s top executive, County Judge Mandy Gfeller, there was a malfunction in the equipment that led to a fire broke out along with the explosion. Officials are still investigating the incident. There were around 50-60 people working on the farm and the farm was opened only three years ago. There are no human casualties and one of the workers was injured and taken to hospital, he is stable now.
Around 90% of the farm's total herd died. Each cow was valued at around $2000. This incident might be affecting the production of milk in Texas. This is the biggest single incident of death of cattle in the US.
