22 people were killed and several people were rescued after massive floods attacked the American state of Tennesse. Several homes are completely destroyed and debris tangled. As per the reports, hundreds of people went missing because of the floods in Tennesse. The floods took out the roads in the rural regions and the cellphone towers, telephone lines are completely destroyed. Most of the people struggled hard to stay in touch with their family members and loved ones. Emergency workers staged a door-to-door search. The names of the missing have been collected and announced by the county's emergency center.
The deaths included two twin babies who were swept from the arms of their father. The highest rainfall reported was 43 cm (17 inches) in Humphreys County in less than 24 hours on Saturday as per the reports from the National Weather Service. The devastating pictures of loss are all over the internet. Wrecked cars and demolished businesses are spotted on the roads. The middle Tennesse is the hardest-hit region of the state and several bridges and state highways were washed out because of the heavy downpour. 20 people died in Waverly near Humphreys County. As per the reports coming, more than 40 people are missing for now.
The rescue and search operations continued for the entire Sunday and they will resume today. USA President Joe Biden offered his deepest condolences for the families of the deceased. He promised to offer immediate assistance to the state.
