In a shocking incident, a drone was spotted over the building of the Indian High Commission that is located in Pakistan's Islamabad. The incident took place on Sunday night and it saw the light today. The Indian government considered this as a major security breach and took up the matter to the security officials today. Days after bombs were dropped at the Indian Air Force Station in the Jammu airport, th drone incident took place and this news created a sensation. The Indian intelligence suspected terrorists deploying unmanned vehicles to take a strike at the Indian border. Two IAF officers were injured in the bomb attack. The aerial distance from the airport of Jammu to the international border of Pakistan is said to be 14 km.
Indian suspects that Pakistan-based terror groups Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba were involved in the drone strikes that took place on Sunday. The situation turned worse after a drone was spotted at the Indian High Commission which is highly secured. There are reports that Pakistan is using drone weapons across the Indian border. The Border Security Force (BSF) reported about the drone sightings frequently. A crashed drone was found in a village in Punjab in 2019. The investigation also said that drugs and weapons were dropped in the state through eight drone flights.
Sources revealed that the drone came twice into the Indian High Commission premises on June 26th at 10:15 PM. This happened hours after the IAF base attack in Jammu. India’s Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi is expected to share more details about the incident.
