Black Lives Matter- Police Officers Charged And Upgraded Charge Against Derek Chauvin

The police officer who knelt on George Floyd’s neck, was previously charged with of third degree murder and manslaughter. Now, the officer is charged newly with other severe punishment of second degree murder as per the shown court documents filed in the case. Other three officers are also charged for their unlawful act.
Derek Chauvin and three other officers took Floyd into their custody in Minneapolis. Then Chauvin pressed his knee over Floyd’s neck for nearly 8 minutes and this murderous incident took place on May 25th which led to the blackman’s death. The video footage also showed the officer's behaviour with Floyd. When he was forcefully held with his neck under the knee, he struggled to breath and kept saying “I cant breathe”. After a while, George Floyd stopped moving and Chauvin's knee was still on his neck.
The three officers-Thomas Lane, J Alexander Kueng and Tou Thao are taken into custody. Even involving second degree muder has the serious punishment which is 40 years in prison.
From the day of blackman’s death, the protesters were outraged for justice. Floyd’s death became a lesson that says “black lives matter” and they should be treated equally. The brutality against the African American in US came into limelight after the recent murder and criticizing Floyd while he was in the custody.
After the police charged with upgraded cases, George Floyd’s family reacted to the accountability of officers and they said “it's a bittersweet moment”.

Justice for Floyd’s is served after the 9th night of protesters gathering. The justice It is after the thousands of protesters raise their voice and fist to take stand for the black lives.
