The countries India and the United States have signed three agreements which included health and oil sectors on Tuesday. The three Memorandum of Understanding that have been inked have included one in energy sector and also finalized a defence deal which is said to be worth of USD 3 billion.
A Memorandum of Understanding has also been signed between the health departments of both the countries of India and the United States, on the mental health.
The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization and the US Food and Drug Administration has also signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the safety of medical products.
The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has asserted that the two countries of India and the United States have made a decision for taking the ties of India and the United States to a comprehensive global partnership level.
PM Narendra Modi has said that, both the countries have agreed in order to initiate the negotiations for the big trade deal and that they are confident that this would yield good results.
A letter of cooperation has also been signed between Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Exxon Mobil India LNG Limited and Chart Industries Inc of the United States.
Narendra Modi has said that the partnership that is shared between the two countries of India and the United States is not just confined to the governments but its is people- oriented and people- driven.
The President of the United States has made a statement after his meet with the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi where in he has said that, “We finalized defence deals worth USD 3 billion.”
The PM Narendra Modi has said that the defence cooperation which is shared bet ween the two countries is reflective of the strategic partnership that is rising between India and the United States. He added saying that a new mechanism has also been agreed which contains drug trafficking.
