National Security Advisor Ajit Doval had telephonic conversation with Unite States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo late Wednesday night as tensions between India and Pakistan are at escalating path, News Agency ANI reported.

Earlier, In a statement, US Secretary of state Pompeo said, “Following Indian counter-terrorism actions on February 26, I spoke with Indian Minister of External Affairs Swaraj to emphasise our close security partnership and shared goal of maintaining peace and security in the region.”
“I also spoke to Pakistani Foreign Minister Qureshi to underscore the priority of de-escalating current tensions by avoiding military action, and the urgency of Pakistan taking meaningful action against terrorist groups operating on its soil,” he added.
Yesterday, Pakistan jets violated Indian airspace and attempted to target military installations in our side of line of country.
